Timex T49986 is a watch in a rugged gun-metal case, it’s diameter is 48mm, thickness 12mm.
Mineral dial glass is a little below the level of the body.
The watch has leather band, nicely stitched.
It has contrasting hands which easy to read.
The Crown is protected by a shroud so you don’t accidentally press it.
You can change the hour hand for time zone changes without the minute hand moving.
The Indiglo light is different than other watches with light dials from Timex. It is softer and more evenly spread. At night, when You press the light button, the hands show as black contrasted against the blueish glow.
And now a few words about the chronograph.
Main second hand is for chronograph and inner (at ‘6’-o’clock) for time seconds.
1/20 hand located at 2 o’clock – nice addition.
When you press the stop button, the sub dial at 2 o’clock shows the fractions of seconds.
The sub dial at 10 o’clock shows the minutes passed.
Press the reset button and all hands quickly go back to the starting point.
There is a way for you to set the starting point of each timer hand.
